If you were on the list that did not recieve this challenge, here's generally what it was: Write a story in which Mulder and Scully go see the movie 'Playing God.' Mulder thinks the movie was a pointless pieve of garbage, with a lead actor who is horrible. Scully, however, thinks the movie was fun and enjoyable, and feels the lead actor is charismatic, cute, and charming. See what happens! What a pal! :) A Trip to the Movies 1/1 -By Rachel "Hey Scully, ya doing anything tonight?" Scully sighed. "What do you have in mind?" Mulder waved two tickets at her from behind his desk. "Wanna see a movie?" "What movie?" He looked over the tickets. "A new one. It's called 'Playing God.' It looks really good." "Mulder, that movie looks plotless and stupid. I'm busy." She stacked up files scattered around her desk. He got that gleam in his eyes when he wanted something, and he was going to get it, one way or another. "Scul-leeeeeee," he whined. "Come on! I reallllly wanna see it! I don't have any one else to go with!" 'He's such a baby!' she thought. "Take Skinner." "Skinner's boring." "Take Danny." "I can't be seen with him in public." "Take your Morley smoking friend." "What!?" Scully sighed again. "Fine. What time does it start?" Mulder grinned and looked ready to fly out of his chair with happiness. "7:10. I'll pick you up at 6:45." Scully packed away some files and stood. "I'll see you then," she grumbled, and walked out of the office. $$$$$#######*******%%%%%%%$$$$$$$$########***********%%%%%%%%%%%$$$$$$$$## ###### DING DONG! The doorbell sounded through Scully's cozy apartment. DING DONG! "All right, all right, I'm coming!" she shouted. She opened the door to find a grinning Mulder who looked like he'd had a little too much sugar. "Ready to go?" he asked. "Yeah, yeah, I'm coming." She grabbed her purse from the couch and they walked out the door. ##################$$$$$$$$$$$ When they reached the almost empty theater, Scully again wanted to leave. "Mulder," she whined. "Let's go see something else. 'Men in Black' is playing in the theater right next door. Come on." She grabbed his arm and tried to pull him away. But her small body was no match for him. He laughed. "Come on, let's sit right in the middle." She stomped behind him and sat down. The lights to the theater dimmed. "Oo, I can't wait!" he whispered in anticipation. "Yeah, me neither," Scully grumbled and sulked. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$#################****************%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%$$$$$ $$$$$$ Mulder stomped out of the theater, dragging Scully behind him. "That movie was two hours too long!" he shouted, as they climbed in the car. "What a worthless piece of crap!" "I thought it was pretty good," Scully shrugged. "Good? How could you even think it was remotely good?" "Well, that Doctor Sands was pretty cute," she replied. "Are you kidding me? That guy couldn't act his way out of a paper bag!" He put the car in gear and squealed out of the parking lot. Scully cringed. 'He should not drive when he's mad,' she thought. "It was just a movie," she said. "It was a sensless blood bath. Did you see the girl? What's her name, Angela Jolie? God, she was uglier than a dog! Her overbite was hurting my eyes!" Scully had to agree with him on that one. "It was a waste of six dollars. I must apologize for dragging you to see this pile of-" "Mulder!" she shouted. "Will you calm down? I enjoyed myself. I liked that movie! And if it weren't for your constant mumbling next to me, I might have liked it even more!" Now she was just trying to make him mad. "Are you *trying* to make me mad?" he asked. "I can't believe!...oooh." They pulled up in front of her apartment complex. "That movie...ooooh." he said. She got out of the car. "Mulder, I'll see you on Monday." "Yeah, bye." ********************################$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$#################************ "Merry Christmas, Mulder," Scully said, and handed him a red and green wrapped present. "For me!? Aw, you shouldn't have," he replied, and took the gift. "What is it?" Scully chuckled. "A tie with some taste. Just open it." Mulder gleefully plulled off the wrapping paper. He looked down into the unwrapped gift now in his hands. 'Playing God' it said on the cover. 'Duchovny's performance is outstanding!' 'A must see!' He could not believe his eyes. He slowly raise his eyes and looked at his partner. He nearly threw the video at her. She was grinning. ######################****************$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$%%%%%%%%%%%%%% %%%% You like? ;) I personally thought the movie was pretty good. Not the best I've seen, but I had to love it. How could I not with David Duchovny in almost every frame!?! Feedback appreciated. How was that Alyssa? ;) ~Rachel~
